About Us

  • Becky Horansky

Texas native Becky Horansky studied fine art before embarking on a life of creative expression, which included designing silk intimate apparel for Victoria's Secret. After meeting her husband, Ira, she moved to New York and later founded her own home furnishing shop, The Nest, on Long Island. It was here that she honed her design eye and developed a distinctive old-meets-new style. The couple moved to bucolic Bucks County 20 years ago, where the abundant beauty inspired her to begin studying painting with revered artist Dot Bunn. In 2019, Becky decided to follow her passion and wholly devote her time and talents to painting to capture the natural beauty and charm that surrounds her. She works from her studio in the historic Kolbe building. Becky and Ira have a gallery located in Stone House Antiques in Bucks County, which features her art, his handcrafted tables, and a curated selection of both refined and rustic antiques. Her art and home design style have attracted the attention of several publications and was on display in a recent Bucks County Designer House. The couple is blessed with two amazing daughters, who are artists and adventurers in their own right.

  • Ira Horansky

Ira was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and has had a passion for art and building from early on. He spent 25 years in New York City's fashion district, owning his own company that was known for intricate printing on silk fabrics. He worked for a builder in Lancaster, PA, where he forged relationships with a community of people specializing reclaiming wood and elements from historic buildings. He now makes tables and supports Becky's artwork from his workshop in their Bucks County home.
